O American Music Awards realizou neste domingo (22) a cerimônia de entrega de estatuetas da edição deste ano. A premiação contou com apresentação de Taraji P Henson e performances de Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Shawn Mendes e muitos outros.
Taylor Swift levou para casa o principal prêmio da noite, o de “Artista do Ano”, e também os de “Clipe Favorito” e “Artista Feminina Favorita – Pop/Rock”. Com os prêmios, a cantora reforçou o recorde de artista com mais prêmios na história da premiação, totalizando 32 em toda a carreira.
Justin Bieber abriu a premiação cantando os mais recentes singles “Lonely” e “Holy”. O artista ainda dividiu o palco com Shawn Mendes em uma performance inédita de “Monster”, nova parceria dos artistas. Em apresentação dedicada ao pai, Katy Perry cantou a faixa “Only Love” ao lado de Darius Rucker.
The Weeknd apresentou as músicas “In Your Eyes” e “Save Your Tears” em uma performance repleta de fogos de artifício e que também contou com a colaboração de Kenny G. A noite ainda contou com a apresentação de Megan Thee Stallion, que cantou “Body”, e BTS, que encerrou a premiação com “Dynamite”.
