Ana Carolina Thomé
O Emmy Awards, o principal prêmio internacional da televisão dos Estados Unidos, anunciou nesta terça-feira (13) os indicados da premiação de 2021. A cerimônia foi apresentada pelo ator Ron Cepahs Jones, de “This Is Us”, e sua filha, Jasmine Cepahs Jones, conhecida por seu trabalho em “Hamilton”.
Entre os maiores destaques da premiação, estão as séries “The Crown” e “The Mandalorian”, que possuem 24 indicações cada. Além disso, “WandaVision” ficou entre as mais indicadas do ano no Emmy. A produção Marvel tem um somatório de 23 menções, como, por exemplo, em Melhor Minissérie, Melhor Atriz e Ator em Minissérie e entre outros.
Um fato importante na história da premiação será carregada pela atriz MJ Rodriguez, a primeira artista trans a ser mencionada em uma das principais categorias de atuação. A estrela está concorrendo ao prêmio de Melhor Atriz em Série Dramática pela terceira e a última temporada de “Pose”.
Os vencedores serão revelados no dia 19 de setembro, em um evento que terá a presença de alguns indicados e seus acompanhantes, nos Estados Unidos. O comando da noite ficará nas mãos de Cedric The Entertainer (“Uma Turma do Barulho” e “Be Cool: O Outro Nome do Jogo”). No Brasil, a transmissão acontecerá no TNT.
